Format: Online (via Zoom)
Languages: English and Arabic (with interpretation)
Purpose:
To equip youth, grassroots activists, and civil society in the MENA region with:
- Knowledge of climate adaptation and advocacy
- Skills to participate in national and international climate dialogues
- Tools to influence climate policy and justice efforts
Training Modules (3–4 sessions, ~3 hours total):
- International climate negotiations & environmental justice
- Advocacy with the EU and participation in global forums (COP, etc.)
- Climate governance and finance (e.g., IFIs, climate funds, Loss & Damage)
- Just transitions, adaptation, climate activism
- Use of AI in activism and data security
- Building regional coalitions and community-based advocacy
Eligibility:
- Age: 18–35
- Applicants from the MENA region
- Must understand English and Arabic
- Open to:
- Youth and feminist organizations
- Grassroots/community initiatives and CBOs
- University students
- Climate activists and changemakers
