Save the children work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and child protection. They also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise the right of children and to ensure their voices are heard. And aims towards three breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030:

  • No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday
  • All children learn from a quality basic education and that,
  • Violence against children is no longer tolerated

Save The Children is looking for an Education Officer who  will implement non-formal education interventions, with a primary emphasis on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and catch-up classes. The Education Officer will oversee the technical, financial, and administrative management of education activities within the Gaza Response. Additionally, to concentrate on capacity building and coaching for education staff engaged in these interventions. Working in collaboration with their respective line manager, the Education Officer will establish and maintain strong external relationships with stakeholders involved in education interventions. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to adapt their responsibilities beyond the typical role profile and adjust working hours as needed.

The officer will focus on Implementation of Quality Non-Formal Education Interventions, Capacity Building, Technical Management and other key areas.

 This is a contract position Till 31st May 2025.
