The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) at the University of Cambridge welcomes applications for the British Academy International Fellowship scheme.
The Fellowship aims to attract international early-career researchers to the UK to conduct innovative research, foster global connections, and support career development.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Hold a PhD or be in the final stages, with the PhD completed (including viva) before the Fellowship starts.
- Have no more than seven years of active, full-time postdoctoral experience (discounting career breaks).
- Work outside the UK and not hold UK citizenship.
- Be proficient in oral and written English.
- Propose a well-defined research project that aligns with a UK host researcher’s expertise.
Special Considerations for CRASSH Applications:
- Applicants must justify why CRASSH and Cambridge are the ideal fit for their project, particularly if it is interdisciplinary.
- Due to limited workspace, CRASSH can forward only a small number of applications. Consider applying through another department or faculty if appropriate.
- Successful candidates hosted elsewhere at Cambridge can still participate in CRASSH activities.
Application Requirements:
- CV: Two pages, including PhD viva and award dates.
- Publication List: One page.
- Internal Selection Form: Completed as per CRASSH’s requirements.
- Referee Contact: One referee (preferably UK-based) who is not your mentor or PhD supervisor.
