The Postgraduate Programme for Sustainability Cooperation (PGP) has officially opened applications for its 61st course, starting on 1 September 2025. This prestigious programme at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) offers an unparalleled pathway for master’s graduates aspiring to make a meaningful impact in international cooperation for development and sustainability.
Programme Overview
- Duration: 9 months (Starting September 1, 2025)
- Eligibility: Master’s graduates in related fields aiming for a career in international cooperation
- Cost: Free of charge, with a €1,500 monthly scholarship and research stay costs covered

- Career-oriented coaching
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic: Master’s degree in social sciences, economics, law, or related fields, obtained within five years of the course start
- Language Proficiency:
- English: C1 level (mandatory)
- German: C1 level (preferred)
- Additional languages like Portuguese or a UN language are advantageous
- Location: Valid residence permit for Germany/EU
- Experience: Prior involvement in Global (work, study, internships) is an asset
- Motivation: Strong interest in global cooperation for sustainability

- Selection Process: 48 pre-selected candidates will undergo a digital selection process
