The University of Gothenburg invites applications for a doctoral position specializing in democracy within the Faculty of Humanities. Position Details
- Programme: Four years of full-time doctoral studies (240 higher education credits) leading to a Doctor of Philosophy degree in one of the listed subjects.
- Start Date: Autumn 2025
- Placement: One of the six departments within the Faculty of Humanities.
- Duties:
- Conduct independent research resulting in a doctoral thesis.
- Complete third-cycle courses as per the study plan.
- Actively engage in departmental research and daily activities.
- Teaching, research, or administrative duties may be assigned within regulations.

Eligibility Criteria
- General Entry Requirements:
- A second-cycle degree, or
- At least 240 higher education credits, with at least 60 at the second-cycle level, or
- Equivalent qualifications from Sweden or abroad.
- Specific Entry Requirements:

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
- A clearly justified research interest aligned with the theme of strengthening democratic values.
