The Max Planck Foundation seeks a student assistant to support its Lebanon Projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Legal & Political Research on Lebanon
  • Organizational & Administrative Tasks (e.g., preparing workshop materials, formatting documents, reviewing seminar evaluations)
  • Assisting in Seminars, Conferences & Workshops

Requirements:

  • Enrolled full-time student in Germany
  • Fields of Study: Law, Political Science, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, or similar
  • Language Skills: Strong Arabic & English proficiency
  • Knowledge of Public International Law & Comparative Constitutional Law (Preferred)
  • Interest in the Middle East & Prior Experience (Preferred)
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Reliable, Flexible, & Strong Team Player

What’s Offered:

  • Hourly wage: €16.29+ (with regular salary adjustments)
  • 12 vacation days (based on a 2-day workweek) + additional paid holidays

  • Office-based position in Heidelberg (no remote work possible)
