Programme: Fellowship Programme for People of African Descent

This annual fellowship provides intensive training in international human rights law, the UN human rights system, and anti-racism frameworks. It is intended for individuals of African descent from the diaspora who are actively engaged in promoting the rights of people of African descent

Objectives:

  • Deepen understanding of international human rights and anti-discrimination mechanisms.
  • Gain exposure to UN systems and build advocacy skills.
  • Strengthen participants’ ability to influence national policies and collaborate with civil society.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be of African descent living in the diaspora.
  • Minimum four years of work experience in relevant human rights areas.
  • Endorsement letter from an organization working on minority or African descent issues.
  • Availability for the full programme duration.

Support Provided:

  • Return economy airfare to Geneva
  • Basic health insurance
  • Stipend for accommodation and living expenses
