The Canada International Forum on Digital Soft Power is a global platform redefining diplomacy in the digital era. Organized by the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) in collaboration with regional and global partners, the forum gathers researchers, cultural leaders, policymakers, and digital strategists to explore the evolving relationship between technology, culture, and diplomacy.
With the theme “Digital Soft Power and Cultural Diplomacy in the Age of Algorithms,” this high-level, multidisciplinary event will discuss the geopolitical, strategic, and ethical dimensions of digital influence.
Fully funded scholarships are available, covering forum access, lodging, meals, and flights. The event aims to promote international cooperation, foster innovative solutions, and advance intercultural understanding and inclusive global dialogue.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Relevant fields of study or employment include international relations, communication, cultural studies, diplomacy, technology, social sciences, media, and the arts.
- Strongly encouraged are individuals with a background or interest in public diplomacy, digital platforms, or cross-cultural projects.
- Conversational proficiency in English is required.
- Applicants must demonstrate an interest in global communication, soft power, digital diplomacy, or cultural exchange.
- A concise motivational statement is required.
- Openness to sharing experiences and applying forum knowledge within their communities or workplaces.
- Prior participation in forums, cultural projects, IT initiatives, or volunteer work is an asset.
- Experience with digital storytelling, public advocacy, or social media projects is also appreciated.
