Scaling women-led AI solutions for social impact and inclusive finance across the Global South

Despite driving some of the most innovative and impactful solutions, women entrepreneurs in the AI and tech sectors remain underrepresented and face major barriers to accessing capital and resources. The EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs aims to bridge this gap by empowering women-led ventures that use AI to address global challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This 6-month accelerator supports five outstanding AI-driven social enterprises led by women across Africa, Latin America, and South/Southeast Asia.
Program Focus Areas
Ventures must:
- Be using AI/ML for good, incorporating responsible AI practices
- Address challenges like climate change, food insecurity, economic inequality, and community resilience
Who Should Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Tech for Good: Using AI/ML for social impact with responsible practices
- Female Founder: The lead applicant must be a woman who is a founder, co-founder, or owner with a key decision-making role (CEO/MD)
- Social Enterprise: For-profit, nonprofit, cooperative, or hybrid social enterprise
- Geographic Focus: Operates in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, or Southeast Asia
- Incorporation: Legally registered and in operation for at least one year
- Growth-Oriented: Actively seeking to scale both business revenue and social impact
- Language: Proficient in English
