The University College Dublin (UCD) Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) invites applications for its 2025 Visiting Fellowship Program. This fully funded fellowship is open to international early career and established researchers whose work aligns with the fellowship’s thematic areas.
The program promotes global academic exchange and collaborative research in fields related to sustainability and development.
Fellowship Focus Areas
Applicants should have a research background in one or more of the following areas:
- Development Studies
- Agronomy
- Gender Studies
- Digital Agriculture
- Rural Sociology
- Political Economy
- ICT for Development (ICT4D)
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all nationalities
- Early Career Researchers (ECRs): Recently completed PhD and in the early stages of their academic career
- Established Scholars: Within 15 years of PhD completion and actively engaged in research
- Strong academic background and a clear, relevant research proposal aligned with the fellowship’s focus areas
Financial Coverage
This is a fully funded fellowship that includes:
- Visa fees: All required visa application fees for Ireland covered
- Round-trip airfare: International travel costs to/from Ireland
- Accommodation: Free housing or housing assistance for the entire 3-month stay
- Stipend: Monthly allowance to cover meals, personal expenses, and local transportation
