What the Fellowship Offers

  • Paid work placement at a top African human rights organization focused on gender justice and strategic litigation
  • Mentorship from WJW’s Fellowship Head and host supervisors
  • Training: At least one in-person convening and regular online sessions with leading human rights experts
  • Networking opportunities with activists, lawyers, judges, and scholars, including participation in events like the Obama Foundation’s Girls Opportunity Alliance
  • Alumni network access for ongoing support and collaboration

Expectations

Fellows are expected to:

  • Commit to their placement and training
  • Engage actively with the Fellowship community
  • Contribute to the advancement of gender justice through legal advocacy
