The Equality Fund is inviting proposals for a remote consultancy to design and deliver a series of virtual training sessions on Feminist Digital Security and Holistic Protection, with a strong focus on collective care and healing justice. The consultancy will run between September 2025 and January 2026, supporting a global cohort of feminist grantee partners.

About the Equality Fund

Launched in 2019, the Equality Fund is a feminist funding platform that supports women, girls, and trans people globally. With over 1,000 grantee partners across 100 countries, the Fund combines grantmaking, gender-lens investing, advocacy, and feminist philanthropy to shift power and resources toward feminist movements.

Purpose of the Consultancy

To strengthen the digital and holistic protection strategies of Equality Fund grantee partners by providing:

  • Practical, participatory training on digital safety, healing justice, and wellbeing.
  • Individual organizational coaching.
  • Tools and tailored recommendations to improve long-term risk management.

Scope of Work

  • Develop and implement 12 training sessions (two tracks of 6 sessions each).
  • Conduct baseline assessments to tailor content to participants’ capacities and risks.
  • Facilitate individual coaching to help develop or refine digital protection plans.
  • Provide written training tools and materials.
  • Submit a final summary report including analysis and recommendations.

Training Topics May Include

  • Psychosocial wellbeing and its link to digital/physical security
  • Threat modeling and digital emergency response
  • Online gender-based violence and safer digital spaces
  • Financial cybersecurity and institutional online safety
  • Healing and recovery practices for sustainability in activism

Eligibility Criteria

  • Relevant academic qualifications (e.g. IT, social sciences, gender studies)
  • Proven experience in:
    • Feminist digital security and holistic protection
    • Participatory and virtual facilitation
    • Working with grassroots and LGBTQI+ movements, preferably in the Global South
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to feminist values and intersectional justice
  • Bilingual or multilingual capacity (French, Spanish, Russian) preferred

Deliverables

  • Work plan (based on inception meetings)
  • 12 virtual training sessions via a secure platform
  • One-on-one coaching for organizations
  • Summary report on progress, findings, and future capacity needs
