The Harris Social Impact Fellowship is a selective, full-time program designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals with strong STEM skills and a passion for evidence-based change. Fellows receive advanced training in policy analysis, data analytics, and critical reasoning while working directly on real-world policy challenges.
Program Highlights
- Academic Coursework (8 weeks)
Intensive training in data analytics, economic analysis, and analytical politics led by University of Chicago faculty. - Applied Learning (9 months)
Fellows are embedded in leading research centers or policy institutes, addressing urgent issues such as educational equity, climate action, health equity, crime reduction, and government efficiency. - Capstone Project
A final real-world deliverable developed with mission-driven organizations to showcase fellows’ analytical, policy, and leadership skills. - Professional Development & Mentorship
Ongoing mentorship, career coaching, workshops, and networking with faculty, alumni, and civic leaders. - Community & Alumni Network
