
Jusoor – which means “bridges” in Arabic – is seeking a Head of Scholarships to lead its efforts in expanding access to high-quality secondary and higher education for Syrian youth.

The Role: Head of Scholarships
Position: Head of Scholarships
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Remote (MENA region preferred)
Contract Type: Consultancy, 12 months
Start Date: As soon as possible

The Head of Scholarships will lead the strategy and operations of Jusoor’s scholarship program, ensuring that Syrian youth have equitable access to secondary and higher education opportunities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, schools, and partner organizations.
- Scholarship Strategy: Develop and implement scholarship program strategy and selection processes.
- Leadership: Manage the Scholarships Team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Budgeting: Prepare and oversee annual program budgets.
- Fundraising: Work closely with the fundraising team to identify donors, plan events, and report to funders.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Jusoor’s MEAL, Communications, and Career Development teams to maximize impact.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Education, or a similar field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience managing a scholarship program, preferably for conflict-affected youth.
- Deep knowledge of the higher education landscape in Syria, refugee host countries, and globally.
- Excellent English communication skills (Arabic proficiency required).
- Proven leadership skills, program management experience, and ability to develop partnerships.
