The Human Rights Advocates Program (HRAP) at Columbia University is now accepting applications for the 2026–27 cohort.

About HRAP:
Founded in 1989, HRAP leverages the academic resources of Columbia University and the vibrant NGO and international community of New York City to support human rights advocates worldwide.

Participants benefit from:

  • Seminars and University courses
  • Skill-building workshops with leading human rights organizations
  • Mentoring and networking opportunities
  • Engagements with policymakers and funders

Since its inception, HRAP has hosted over 350 advocates from 100 countries, many of whom now work in prominent human rights organizations, governments, universities, and on the frontlines of justice movements globally.
