Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program provides fully funded undergraduate scholarships to students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The program targets students from under-resourced backgrounds with strong leadership potential who seek an American-style education.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of an eligible MENA country or territory (Palestinians in West Bank/Gaza are eligible, even with other citizenship documents)
- Be recent high school graduates (typically 2021, 2022, or 2023 graduates)
- Have strong academic performance (minimum GPA/exit exam scores required)
- Show leadership potential and community engagement
- Demonstrate financial need
Additional Notes:
- Dual U.S. citizens are not eligible
- Refugee status does not disqualify you
- Applicants must hold a valid passport (or apply with a national ID and obtain a passport if selected)
What the Program Covers
- Full tuition and enrollment fees
- Housing and board
- Health insurance
- Travel to and from the host university
- Modest monthly stipend
- Leadership development and internship opportunities
Application Process
- Applications are submitted online during the annual application period (dates announced each cycle)
- Required documents include transcripts, recommendation letters, proof of nationality, and financial information
- All documents must be translated into English if not originally in English
- Applicants must also apply to AUB, LAU, or AUC as part of the process
Testing Requirements
- English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, or ASU English assessment accepted
- Duolingo English Test may be accepted depending on the cycle
- SAT may be required depending on the chosen field of study and host university

Applications are reviewed holistically, considering:
- Academic performance
- Leadership potential and extracurricular activities
- English proficiency
- Financial need
