
CIHRS is now accepting applications for Tamkeen, a ten-month semi-academic learning program designed to foster critical thinking and advanced analysis in human rights practice across the Arab region.
What is Tamkeen?
- A 10-month learning journey combining:
- Online academic engagement
- An in-person 6-day intensive workshop in Marseille
- Focuses on critically examining:
- Political, cultural, economic, and historical narratives
- The ways these narratives shape and often undermine human rights work
- Brings together human-rights leaders, program managers, and researchers from across the Arab region
Who Should Apply?
- Leaders and senior staff of human rights organizations
- Program directors and managers
- Researchers and independent activists
- Applicants must:
- Be aged 25–40
- Be from:
Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, or Jordan - Conduct and write research in Arabic
