UNICEF is inviting applications for the Leading Minds Fellowship on Climate Education, a global programme supporting youth-led initiatives that strengthen climate education and climate action.
Up to 12 young leaders (ages 10–30) will be selected to join a global cohort working on research, policy engagement, storytelling, and strategic convenings related to climate education. Selected initiatives may receive grant support of up to USD 20,000.
What the Fellowship Offers

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be aged 10–30
- Lead or represent a climate education initiative
- Commit 4–5 hours per week from February 2026 to July 2027
- Be comfortable working in English (other UN languages are an asset)

- School-based climate education and curricula
- Community or informal education projects
- Climate justice and rights-based initiatives
- Digital campaigns and climate storytelling
- Partnerships with education authorities or policymakers
