Are you a passionate advocate for youth rights, particularly in contexts of conflict and insecurity? The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and Education Above All (EAA) are inviting applications for the Youth Rights Academy.

Program Details

  • Location: Geneva, Switzerland
  • Dates: July 7–11, 2025
  • Funding: Fully funded (travel and accommodation included).

Program Highlights

Participants will:

  • Engage in interactive sessions with renowned trainers and keynote speakers.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer learning and intercultural exchanges.
  • Learn to apply international human rights frameworks to advocacy efforts.
  • Gain practical tools to design and implement community-based human rights initiatives.

The Academy builds on the Youth Empowerment System (YES) Toolkit, a collaborative project by OHCHR, EAA, and Silatech.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 18–30 years old (as of July 7, 2025).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of advocacy in human rights, particularly youth rights.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (the program is conducted in English).
  • References: Provide a reference letter (template available).
  • Preference for candidates with lived experience of conflict or insecurity or those with limited exposure to global platforms.

  3. Attend a final interview if shortlisted.
