The Change Leaders in Philanthropy Fellowship (CLIPF) is a 10-month program designed for senior leaders in grantmaking organizations who are at the forefront of driving organizational change. Hosted by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO), CLIPF provides participants with tools, coaching, and a supportive community to champion equitable change within their institutions.
About the Fellowship
Launched under GEO’s Leading Change in Philanthropy initiative, CLIPF equips leaders with skills to:
- Navigate transformative organizational strategies.
- Foster equity-driven leadership.
- Enhance nonprofit and community outcomes.
The fellowship emphasizes peer learning and creates a collaborative environment to share insights and experiences.
Who Should Apply?
Ideal candidates are senior leaders in philanthropy who:
- Report directly to an Executive Director, President, or CEO.
- Spearhead significant organizational change efforts.
- Hold decision-making authority over strategy, culture, or philanthropic practices.
Program Details
- Duration: February 2025 – November 2025
- Format: Virtual and in-person cohort activities
- Fees:
- $8,000 for organizations with grantmaking budgets > $25M
- $5,000 for organizations with grantmaking budgets < $25M
- Scholarships: Financial assistance up to $16,000 is available (does not cover travel/lodging for in-person events).

Additional Information
Participants are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses for in-person retreats. GEO encourages donations beyond program fees to support scholarships, fostering a diverse and inclusive cohort.
