The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Human Reproduction Programme (HRP) is inviting concept notes for research projects that address adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) priorities identified in the 2022–2024 WHO/HRP research priority-setting exercise.
Application Guidelines
- Language & Format: English, 11-point Times New Roman, max 3 pages.
- Required Information:
- Research focus aligned with WHO/HRP priorities.
- Key research questions (1–2 questions).
- Knowledge gap addressed and potential health impact.
- Expected national, regional, or global impact.
- Target population (adolescents under 15, older adolescents may be included).
- Methods (multidisciplinary approaches encouraged).
- Required resources (funding, ethical approvals, expertise, population access).
- Collaborating partners/organizations (if any).
- Research team (names, titles, affiliations).
- Challenges & ethical concerns and mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- Researchers from low- or middle-income countries (as per World Bank classification).
- Academic institutions, NGOs, youth organizations, and civil society groups.
- Research can take place in clinics, schools, communities, religious institutions, prisons, or sports facilities—must align with research questions.
Funding & Budget
- Grant Amount: $2,500 USD (supports proposal development).
Key Dates & Submission Details
- February 21 – Submission Deadline (11:59 PM CET, Geneva time). Submit via sbastien@who.int. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- March 14 – Notification of Finalists (Only selected applicants will be contacted).
- March 18 – Confirmation Deadline for workshop attendance.
- May (TBD) – Finalists’ Workshop (WHO/HRP covers travel costs).
