The University of Oxford invites applications for an Early Career Research Fellowship in Ethics in AI with a focus on AI and Law. The position is affiliated with Oriel College, Oxford and offers an opportunity to contribute to research on the legal regulation and integration of AI technologies into legal systems.
The successful candidate will conduct independent research under the supervision of Professor John Tasioulas, Director of the Institute for Ethics in AI. They will also engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, contribute to the Institute’s research agenda, and undertake a limited amount of teaching.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in Law (or doctoral dissertation submitted by the closing date).
- Strong research record in Law with potential to contribute to AI ethics and legal regulation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish high-quality work.
- Excellent research skills and ability to work without close supervision.
- Prior research in Ethics in AI is not required but is beneficial.
