The Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP), launched by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with Huawei, is a fully funded initiative designed to empower young digital leaders worldwide. The program provides mentorship, training, and financial support to implement community-driven digital development projects.
Programme Details:
- Host Organization: ITU (United Nations)
- Location: Virtual mentorship + in-person Development Week in Geneva, Switzerland (July 2025)
- Grant: Up to $10,000 USD per fellow to fund digital projects
- Duration: 1 year
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 18-28
- Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a STEM-related field
- Project Focus: Must propose a digital development project to benefit the community
- Language: Proficiency in English
