The IWMF Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship is a fully funded, six-month opportunity for women and non-binary journalists focusing on social justice and human rights reporting. Fellows will spend:
- Four months at MIT’s Center for International Studies, developing research and reporting skills.
- Two months interning at The New York Times in New York City.
The program covers housing, transportation, flights, health insurance, and a stipend to support living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to women and non-binary journalists worldwide.
- Must have at least three years of full-time professional journalism experience (internships and university-related work do not count).
- Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Fellows must commit to the entire six-month program (February – July 2026).
