The World Health Summit will be offering travel and accommodation stipends for up to fifteen individuals from low- and middle-income countries and lived experience voices to participate in the World Health Summit in Berlin, October 12-14, 2025.

What the Stipend Covers:

  • Roundtrip economy-class airfare to and from Berlin (booked and paid directly by WHS)
  • Hotel accommodation for 4 nights (October 11–15) near the WHS venue, including breakfast
  • Full registration for the World Health Summit 2025 (includes food and beverages)
  • Reimbursement of up to 200 EUR for local transport in Berlin
  • Reimbursement of up to 200 EUR for visa and passport costs
  • Invitation to the Kick-Off Reception on October 11, 2025

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

  • Be a national and current resident of a low- or middle-income country (per World Bank 2024–2025 classification) or bring a valuable lived experience perspective relevant to the WHS 2025 program
  • Submit a complete application including:
    • Personal details (nationality and residence)
    • Letter of motivation (1–2 pages, font size 11)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Proof of engagement in global health (e.g., job, advocacy work, or recommendation letter)
    • Proof of English proficiency (conference will be held in English)
  • Be eligible for a short-term Schengen visa

Application Process:

  • Apply through the official online application form
  • Selected individuals will be contacted via email
  • If a chosen applicant declines, a waitlisted candidate will be offered the spot

Additional Notes:

  • Selection is based on application quality and completeness; if applications exceed available slots, a lottery system may be used to ensure regional diversity
  • Selected recipients must apply for their visa promptly; WHS will assist with documentation
  • The stipend does not cover additional hotel expenses (e.g., minibar, room sharing) or travel insurance
  • Stipend recipients will not be speakers but may attend all open sessions
  • Selected recipients are expected to contribute content (written, video, or social media posts) and complete a post-conference evaluation survey
