The Lebanese American University’s Institute for Migration Studies and Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution is seeking 15 Non-Resident Academic Contributors for a special blog series under the “Resilience and Inclusive Politics in the Arab Region” project.
Contributors are invited to submit original 2,000-word commentaries that provide critical, grounded reflections on key regional issues. Focus areas include:
- Displacement as Disruption: How forced migration challenges borders, reshapes belonging, and reconfigures communities
- Refugees Rewriting the Narrative: Centering refugee agency, innovation, and grassroots networks
- Resilience Reimagined: Everyday survival strategies amid systemic precarity
- Fragility and Governance: Power, vulnerability, and the normalization of crisis
Who Can Apply:
- Scholars at all career levels: recent MA grads, early-stage PhD students, and independent researchers
- Must bring an intersectional, justice-oriented lens to the topic
- Open to contributors based anywhere in the world

- Editorial guidance and visibility across LAU platforms
