About MENAFem Movement
A feminist organization advocating for climate and economic justice in the MENA region. The work focuses on challenging structural inequalities, advancing inclusive climate policies, and supporting grassroots action.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on economic and climate-related policies of international financial institutions (e.g., IMF, World Bank) with MENA relevance.
- Develop reports, policy briefs, and advocacy materials.
- Lead campaigns on climate justice, debt, and just transition financing.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across sectors.
- Manage program logistics, social media content, and events.
- Contribute to grant writing, budgeting, and donor reporting.
- Uphold feminist, intersectional, and anti-oppression frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in environmental studies, economics, development studies, or related field.
- Proven experience in climate advocacy and/or economic justice.
- Familiarity with climate finance and Global South policy frameworks.
- Strong writing skills and experience communicating complex issues.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Experience working with MENA-based civil society or multilateral institutions.
- Strong project management and multitasking ability.
- Demonstrated commitment to feminist and intersectional approaches.
