About MENAFem Movement

A feminist organization advocating for climate and economic justice in the MENA region. The work focuses on challenging structural inequalities, advancing inclusive climate policies, and supporting grassroots action.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on economic and climate-related policies of international financial institutions (e.g., IMF, World Bank) with MENA relevance.
  • Develop reports, policy briefs, and advocacy materials.
  • Lead campaigns on climate justice, debt, and just transition financing.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement across sectors.
  • Manage program logistics, social media content, and events.
  • Contribute to grant writing, budgeting, and donor reporting.
  • Uphold feminist, intersectional, and anti-oppression frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental studies, economics, development studies, or related field.
  • Proven experience in climate advocacy and/or economic justice.
  • Familiarity with climate finance and Global South policy frameworks.
  • Strong writing skills and experience communicating complex issues.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Experience working with MENA-based civil society or multilateral institutions.
  • Strong project management and multitasking ability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to feminist and intersectional approaches.
