Project Overview
This interdisciplinary NWO-funded project aims to accelerate the transition to a fair, sustainable circular society in the Netherlands. It involves collaboration between universities, governments, businesses, and NGOs.
PhD Role at MSI
The selected candidate will:
- Investigate how interlocking circular business models can be developed and supported.
- Focus on circular value chains and how they can emerge within wider systemic change.
- Work closely with researchers and stakeholders involved in ACT!
Required Qualifications
- Master’s in sustainability science, innovation, business, geography, political economy, or related field.
- Understanding of circular economy and sustainability transitions.
- Experience in qualitative research (e.g., interviews, workshops, document analysis).
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working across academic and practitioner settings.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
