Key Responsibilities
- Develop communications content: case studies, videos, infographics, press releases, speeches.
- Maintain and update WHH’s digital presence and social media for the Middle East hub.
- Act as liaison with HQ, donors, media, and project teams.
- Coordinate media responses, interviews, high-level visits.
- Support internal communications and ensure branding alignment with partners.
- Lead on advocacy communications and participate in external advocacy forums.
- Create and implement a communications calendar aligned with regional and donor strategies.
- Analyze regional advocacy opportunities with the head of mission and policy team.
Eligibility & Profile
- Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
- 2+ years in communications, media relations, or advocacy (preferably humanitarian/development).
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills for varied audiences.
- Experience with communication strategies and crisis comms.
- Skilled in coordination across cultures and teams.
- Familiarity with donor visibility and branding (EU, UN, GIZ standards).
- Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic (German a plus).
- Willing to travel regionally (based on security/visa).
- Interest in data-informed communication and advocacy approaches.
