Key Responsibilities

  • Develop communications content: case studies, videos, infographics, press releases, speeches.
  • Maintain and update WHH’s digital presence and social media for the Middle East hub.
  • Act as liaison with HQ, donors, media, and project teams.
  • Coordinate media responses, interviews, high-level visits.
  • Support internal communications and ensure branding alignment with partners.
  • Lead on advocacy communications and participate in external advocacy forums.
  • Create and implement a communications calendar aligned with regional and donor strategies.
  • Analyze regional advocacy opportunities with the head of mission and policy team.

Eligibility & Profile

  • Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years in communications, media relations, or advocacy (preferably humanitarian/development).
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills for varied audiences.
  • Experience with communication strategies and crisis comms.
  • Skilled in coordination across cultures and teams.
  • Familiarity with donor visibility and branding (EU, UN, GIZ standards).
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic (German a plus).
  • Willing to travel regionally (based on security/visa).
  • Interest in data-informed communication and advocacy approaches.
