Fellowship Structure:

  • Phase One (3 months):
    At the UN Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS), New York
  • Phase Two (6 months):
    Advanced academic research at a host university (in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia, Canada, or elsewhere)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: 25–40 years
  • Education: At least a first-level university degree
  • Experience: Mid-level professional with relevant work in government or NGOs (e.g., public officials)
  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of a developing country
  • Field of Interest: Strong interest in ocean affairs and the law of the sea
