About the Fellowship

The Stigler Center Journalists in Residence Program at Chicago Booth is a 12-week fellowship designed for mid-career journalists worldwide. It offers the chance to deepen knowledge in political economy, business reporting, and the intersection of markets and politics while engaging with leading scholars and peers in one of the world’s top academic environments.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to journalists of all nationalities.
  • Must have professional journalism experience (mid-career preferred).
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English required.

Financial Coverage (Fully Funded)

  • $14,000 stipend for living expenses in Chicago.
  • Round-trip economy airfare reimbursement.
  • Visa and SEVIS fees covered.
