About the Program
Applications are now open for the Dalai Lama Fellows Program 2026, an inspiring global fellowship designed for emerging changemakers who are passionate about ethical, mindful, and compassion-based leadership.
Since its founding, the Dalai Lama Fellows initiative has empowered young social innovators to lead change from a place of deep self-awareness and empathy — integrating inner transformation with practical social action.
Over a year-long journey, selected Fellows engage in contemplative practices, leadership training, and project-based learning that bridges personal and societal transformation.
What Fellows Will Gain
Selected 15–20 global Fellows will join a transformative experience that combines mindfulness, leadership, and social innovation, including:
- Head, Heart, Hands Curriculum: A holistic framework for compassionate leadership development.
- Coaching & Peer Learning: One-on-one mentoring and collaborative cohort learning.
- Fully Funded Contemplative Leadership Assembly: A 5-day in-person gathering in May 2026 (location TBD).
- Global Fellowship Network: Lifelong membership in the Dalai Lama Fellows community, connecting alumni across more than 50 countries.
Who Should Apply
The program is ideal for emerging social leaders committed to community-driven change. Applicants must:
- Be 20–36 years old as of April 1, 2026.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be leading or developing a social change project that engages directly with a community.
- Commit approximately 12 hours per month for learning sessions, coaching, and reflection.
- Be available to attend the in-person Contemplative Leadership Assembly in May 2026 (travel, lodging, and meals fully funded).
