Applications are now open for the Iceland Writers Retreat (IWR) 2026, a fully funded international literary program designed to bring together passionate writers from around the world. Hosted in the stunning capital city of Reykjavík, this five-day event offers participants the chance to refine their writing skills, exchange ideas, and immerse themselves in Iceland’s vibrant literary and cultural scene.

The retreat welcomes writers of all experience levels and backgrounds — from emerging voices to established authors — providing an inclusive environment that celebrates creativity and storytelling.

    • Financial need to attend the retreat.
