The Reuters Institute Fellowship 2026 at the University of Oxford is now open for applications. This fully funded fellowship offers journalists from around the world the opportunity to spend three to six months at the Reuters Institute in Oxford, UK, engaging in in-depth research, training, and professional development.
Each year, 30 fellows are selected to take part in lectures, workshops, seminars, and individual research projects designed to strengthen their journalistic skills and advance their careers. Fellows will work on a self-directed project focused on journalism and media.
Eligibility
- Open to applicants of all nationalities
- Minimum of five years of professional journalism experience (or equivalent in exceptional cases)
- Open to staff journalists and freelancers
- Applicants working primarily in PR, corporate communications, or public affairs are not eligible
- English proficiency is not required
