CNN Business Arabic, is seeking a Video Journalist to join its growing digital-first newsroom. Launched in 2023 in partnership with CNN International Commercial, CNN Business Arabic delivers high-quality Arabic-language coverage of global and regional business, finance, and economic news.
The platform combines IMI’s digital expertise with CNN’s global newsgathering strength, aiming to become a leading and trusted source for Arabic-speaking audiences, entrepreneurs, and business leaders worldwide.
Role Overview
The Video Journalist will produce compelling video content across digital and broadcast platforms, covering breaking news, features, and exclusive interviews. The role requires strong storytelling skills and the ability to manage the full production process, from pitching and reporting to shooting and editing.
Key Responsibilities
- Pitch and develop original video story ideas
- Shoot, script, and edit news and feature videos
- Cover breaking news with fast turnaround
- Conduct interviews with business leaders and experts
- Collaborate with newsroom teams on multimedia packages
- Ensure editorial accuracy, fairness, and quality
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
- Stay updated on digital video trends and audience engagement
Requirements
- Strong visual storytelling and editorial judgment
- Proficiency in video production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Solid knowledge of lighting, audio, and camera operation
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in video journalism or multimedia production
- Proven breaking news experience
- Familiarity with digital publishing and social media platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, or Communications
- At least 2 years of experience in data journalism
