Applications are now open for the United Nations SDG Action Awards 2026, a fully funded global awards program taking place in Rome, Italy. Organized by the United Nations SDG Action Campaign and supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the awards celebrate outstanding individuals, teams, and organizations driving progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovative and impactful initiatives.
Often referred to as honoring the “Heroes of Tomorrow,” the program recognizes changemakers making a difference at local, national, and international levels through leadership, creativity, and community engagement.
Finalists will receive international recognition, global visibility, and valuable networking opportunities with development professionals, policymakers, and activists. They will also be invited to present their work at the official awards ceremony in Rome on 29 October 2026.
Winners will enjoy a fully funded trip to Italy, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, and official access to the prestigious SDG Action Awards event.
