The UCL Humanitarian Scholarship provides an opportunity for displaced individuals and those in grave danger due to armed conflict to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree at University College London (UCL).
This scholarship is financial need-based and covers full tuition fees, living expenses, accommodation, and travel costs, allowing selected students to focus entirely on their studies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UCL Humanitarian Scholarship, applicants must:
Be an international applicant from a non-UK country.
Be displaced due to armed conflict within the past three years or be in grave danger due to armed conflict.
Have applied for international protection outside the UK.
Meet the overseas fee status requirement.
Come from a low-income background.
Not hold a degree equivalent to or higher than the one being applied for.
Have an offer for a full-time Master’s program at UCL by early June 2025. (Note: Part-time and distance learning programs are not eligible.)
Scholarship Benefits
Full Tuition Fees: Covers the entire cost of the Master’s program.
Living Stipend: Approximately £20,000 to support daily expenses and housing.
Travel Costs: Covers one return trip to the UK.
Visa & Health Coverage: Includes visa fees and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
Accommodation: Covered as part of the scholarship package.
Duration: The scholarship is valid for one year (except for two-year full-time programs).
