The AMWAJ Fellowship, organized by REVOLVE Media with media and environmental partners, is a fully funded program for early-career journalists in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean who are passionate about environmental sustainability and amplifying underrepresented voices.
What the Fellowship Offers
- Duration: 6 months
- Stipend: €4,000 per fellow
- Coverage: Travel and accommodation fully funded for approved reporting
- Focus Areas: Climate change, water security, environmental justice, renewable energy
- Support: Mentorship, training, and international exposure
- Platforms: Publication of fellows’ work in AMWAJ Stories/Tayyarat, REVOLVE Media, and potential inclusion in print and multimedia outlets
Eligibility
- Early-career journalist (less than 5 years of professional experience)
- From one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey
- Proficient in English
- Available for the full 6-month program
