The Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) is inviting applications for the position of Program Assistant — an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals passionate about peace, diplomacy, and international cooperation.

As one of Egypt’s leading centers of excellence in training, capacity building, and research, CCCPA plays a vital role in advancing peace and security through innovative programs on conflict prevention, crisis management, peacebuilding, and countering radicalization.


About the Role

The Program Assistant will provide administrative and programmatic support to CCCPA’s training and research activities. This role is ideal for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to impactful initiatives in peace and development.


Key Responsibilities

The Program Assistant will:

  • Prepare and distribute training kits and materials for participants;
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including with Egyptian Ministries;
  • Coordinate registration and logistics for CCCPA events and workshops;
  • Take minutes of meetings and maintain organized electronic records;
  • Support translation, proofreading, and editing of official documents;
  • Maintain and update the contact database;
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, concept notes, and outreach materials;
  • Help schedule and manage meetings with partners and stakeholders;
  • Support the preparation of MoUs and Letters of Agreement;
  • Perform other administrative and coordination duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • University degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Migration Studies, or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (including internships) is required.
  • Previous experience in program or project administration is a strong asset.

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage.

Additional Competencies:

  • Excellent writing and note-taking skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail;
  • Professionalism, discretion, and teamwork skills.

Assessment Process

Qualified candidates will undergo a substantive assessment, followed by a competency-based interview with CCCPA management.
