About the Scholarship

The High Potential Scholarship is jointly funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science’s NL Scholarship. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold citizenship from a non-EU/EEA country (Swiss and Surinamese nationals are also ineligible).
  • Meet Dutch visa and residence permit requirements (MVV).
  • Apply for a full-time master’s program at Maastricht University for the 2025–2026 intake.
  • Not have previously completed a full degree in the Netherlands (participation in exchange programs is allowed).
  • Be 35 years old or younger by 1 September 2026.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 7.5/10.
  • Submit all required documents accurately in a single complete submission.

Financial Benefits
