
Registration is now open for a United Nations webinar titled “Promoting and Protecting Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: A Regional Perspective from the Middle East and North Africa”, taking place on 17 June 2026.
Organized by the United Nations Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region, with support from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the webinar marks the upcoming 60th anniversary of the adoption of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
The online event aims to raise awareness of economic, social, and cultural rights across the MENA region while exploring current challenges, opportunities, and strategies for strengthening their protection and promotion.
